Tehri Garhwal: A tragic accident occurred on the Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway (NH 58) between Devprayag and Kirtinagar in Tehri district when a car fell into the Alaknanda River.
The incident took place in the afternoon, sparking immediate rescue efforts.
The car was carrying six people at the time of the accident. One woman has been rescued in critical condition, while search operations are still underway for the remaining five individuals in Alaknanda River. The missing people are believed to be from Srikot, a nearby village.
Rescue and relief operations are actively underway at the accident site, with local authorities, police, fire services, and divers working tirelessly to locate the missing individuals.
