Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s zero-tolerance approach to crime continues to make waves as Operation Kalnemi entered its third day on Sunday, pushing the total number of arrests across the state to 209.
The coordinated multi-district campaign—aimed at rooting out history-sheeters, wanted criminals, and anti-social elements—has seen a strong show of force by the police across districts.
On Day 3, Police arrested 34 more individuals, taking the total in the capital district to 82. Haridwar Police added 6 more arrests, pushing their tally to 51. Udham Singh Nagar, which had made headlines on Day 2 with 66 arrests, reported no fresh detentions on the third day.
Under the leadership of CM Dhami, Uttarakhand Police has launched Operation Kalnemi as part of a broader effort to bolster public safety, improve law and order, and send a clear message that criminal activities will not be tolerated in the state.
Sources in the government said CM Dhami is personally monitoring the operation and has instructed officials to continue the momentum with strict and impartial action against all offenders.
