Elephants blocked a car travelling
A major scare unfolded on the Kotdwar-Dugadda road near Lalpul on Sunday morning when a herd of elephants suddenly emerged from the nearby forest and blocked the road. The unexpected appearance of the elephants led to a traffic jam on both sides of the road, with one car getting trapped in the middle of the herd.
Panic gripped commuters as the wild elephants roamed the area. Forest department teams quickly reached the spot and used firecrackers to drive the animals back into the jungle, safely dispersing the herd and clearing the traffic.
The incident has once again highlighted the frequent human-wildlife encounters in the Pauri Garhwal region of Uttarakhand.
