Union Health Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda visited Uttarakhand on a one-day tour, where he took part in the fifth convocation ceremony of AIIMS Rishikesh.
Union Health Minister JP Nadda was joined by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami during the visit.
At the event, JP Nadda was warmly welcomed by the AIIMS faculty and students. As the chief guest, he handed out degrees to the graduating medical students, marking an important moment in their journey as doctors. The convocation was a proud occasion not just for the students and their families, but also for the institution, which continues to play a key role in improving medical education and healthcare services in Uttarakhand.
Adding to the highlights of the day, Trauma Coordinator Dr. Madhur Uniyal gave a demonstration of the AIIMS Heli Ambulance. This service, designed for airlifting critically ill patients from high-altitude areas, showcases the institute’s commitment to emergency care in tough terrains.
The visit underlined the growing importance of AIIMS Rishikesh as a hub of medical training and innovation in the region.
