Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, witnessed a grand beginning of the Shaurya Samman Tiranga Yatra today. The event was organized to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor and to pay tribute to the bravery of Indian soldiers. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt, State General Secretary Ajay Kumar, and Minister for Soldiers’ Welfare Ganesh Joshi, along with thousands of patriotic citizens, participated in the yatra. The journey will continue across the country from May 14 to May 23, aiming to share the story of Operation Sindoor’s achievement with people nationwide.
The yatra started from Shaurya Sthal Chidbagh, where BJP workers and local residents joined together, carrying the tricolor with pride. The procession moved through the city and concluded at Gandhi Park, where a special ceremony was held to honor the soldiers. The event was marked by a strong sense of unity and national pride.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami remembered the courage and sacrifices of the soldiers, stating, “The bravery and patriotism of our soldiers are unmatched. This yatra is dedicated to their honor and the spirit of nationalism.” He also led a symbolic march on foot to show respect for the armed forces and called for the success of Operation Sindoor to be celebrated every year.
The atmosphere at the venue was filled with patriotic slogans like “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram,” as people expressed their gratitude towards the Indian Army. The event saw enthusiastic participation from ex-servicemen, their families, and school children, reflecting the deep respect and admiration for the armed forces in the community.
The Shaurya Samman Tiranga Yatra has sparked a new wave of patriotism in Dehradun and sent a powerful message about the everlasting contribution of soldiers to India’s unity and security. Over the next ten days, the yatra will travel to different parts of the country, spreading stories of national pride and military sacrifice, and inspiring citizens to remember and honor the heroes who protect the nation.
