A deep sense of sorrow has gripped devotees after a 100-year-old Peepal tree collapsed outside the revered Tapkeshwar Temple following continuous heavy rains. The tree, considered sacred by many, had been a silent witness to countless prayers, rituals, and memories across generations.
The incident not only caused physical damage—crushing a nearby prasad shop and injuring its shopkeeper—but also left an emotional void among regular visitors.
