A 45-year-old employee named Janak, who was working at the Premet Plywood factory located in Makhdumpur, Manglaur suddenly died while on the job.
A shocking incident took place at a plywood factory in Manglaur police station area, causing panic among workers and raising concerns about workplace safety. The entire incident was captured on CCTV.
According to reports, Janak was working on a machine when a piece of plywood accidentally fell on him, causing him to collapse. His coworkers rushed him to a private hospital in Roorkee for emergency treatment. However, the doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
The sudden death triggered anger among Janak’s family members, who accused the factory management of negligence and poor safety measures. They claimed that the company does not provide basic safety equipment like helmets or any other protective gear to its workers. The family protested loudly at the hospital, demanding strict action against the factory management for failing to ensure proper safety standards.
The police from Manglaur and Roorkee arrived at the hospital to control the situation and spoke to the family members to calm them down. After discussions, the police took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem examination.
This tragic incident has brought the spotlight on the urgent need for better safety protocols in factories in the region. Workers and locals are now urging authorities to take strict action to prevent such accidents in the future and to ensure that companies follow safety rules seriously.
